SRO at Governor 's renewable energy forum

Governor Jan Brewer's day-long public forum on developing renewable energy in Arizona is overbooked.

“Arizona’s Renewable Energy Future” is taking place Thursday, April 15 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at ASU Skysong, 1475 North Scottsdale Rd. in Scottsdale.

The meeting will convene panels of experts representing various governmental and non-governmental stakeholders.  The Draft Agenda includes:
A View of Arizona’s Renewable Energy Industry From Germany/EU

Panel I – Follow Up to Renewable Energy Summit on February 11, 2010

Panel II – Where we are now – state of applications and transmission lines

Keynote Speaker – "Saving Suntech" - Governor Jan Brewer & Polly Shaw, Director of External Relations, Suntech America, Inc.

Panel III – ARRA Funding and its Effect – Job creation, economic development, energy efficiencies, distributive solar
Panel IV - Update: US & Other States’ Approaches – what can we learn from other states’ efforts          

Panel V – Arizona can become more hospitable to the Renewable Energy Industry

Open Dialogue – Audience Q & A

Registration for the event is FREE, but you must be registered to attend.  To register for this event, please email:  wdoran@land.az.gov, although the number of registrants so far has exceeded the number the auditorium can hold.
