Small quake felt in central Arizona

A magnitude 2.7 earthquake 32 miles north of Prescott at 3:07pm local time, was reported felt in the Paulden area.   [Right, location of quake shown by yellow star.  Credit, USGS]

It's somewhat unusual for an event this small to be felt but local geologic conditions can be a big factor in transmitting seismic waves.
